On one hand I'm for police reform in the US in the other, they are just throwing away all the effort made by everybody containing Covid19.

“Large gatherings, we know, are still a significant risk for transmission of COVID-19”

I just feel like there were less dangerous ways of us supporting Americans than congregating like this and risking infection amongst our own. Sign petitions, donate to organizations that are bailing out protestors, write letters to authority figures, have difficult conversations with those that speak with racist undertones. As a POC not at this rally, you help me by doing those action items- not showing up at an art gallery and risking spreading a deadly virus that may hurt my loved ones. Important side note BLM Vancouver specifically didn’t organize this due to all the risks involved and that their fight is long term systemic not one specific police incident. I think pre Rona this would have been a great idea but now it feels like more danger than real help.

Just one opinion.
