I’m thankful to have kept my job throughout this all. Other people making a little extra money throughout this pandemic has no effect on me. I’m still making my normal wage and living life as usual with no stress of wondering when I’ll get a job again and if it will be before my unemployment benefits run out. I’m happy for those people getting it and hope that maybe this is helping them pay off some debt or throw a little in savings. It’s a great feeling to have financial stability and I hope the federal stimulus has helped some people find that....even if it is only temporary.

I think the people upset about this need to really look inside themselves and figure out what they are actually mad about. I think being upset with those in power who have kept minimum wage stagnant for decades is who people should be upset with....Minimum wage used to provide a stable livable wage, now it’s not even close to providing that.

Let’s fight the power, not the people!

The pandemic is revealing the ugly reality that essential workers are underpaid and overworked. Everyone must be paid more.
