As a child of the 50's, I can remember people crippled by polio and eyes damaged by measles, and scarred by chickenpox. There were mobile tuberculosis buses that we would line up to be tested in. We would also be vaccinated at school one class after another.
We were the luckiest generation because vaccinations were developed and available to us. If you don't think vaccinating is good for you, walk through the older section of a cemetery and see how many children are in there. They are only a fraction of the lives that were damaged.
Don't take modern medicine for granted. Take care of your health, it's the most valuable thing you own. Vaccinate your kids and don't be an idiot.
