You can get free therapy in the UK too through the NHS. It's on hold at the moment because face-to-face meetings are against the lockdown, but there's some online services available.
I think the general way is to be referred by your GP but you can self-refer too.
Mental health services are still not sufficient in Canada, or at least Ontario. You get group therapy or like 6 sessions of normal councilling; but ongoing therapy is still prohibitively expensive.
