The plan is not and never was to stay inside until the virus is eradicated.

A realistic -- yet very optimistic -- estimate is that we won't have a vaccine available for another year.

The stay-at-home orders were specifically to prevent hospitals from being inundated with more COVID-19 cases than they could handle. The whole "flatten the curve" thing...

Now that the medical industry is more prepared it's hard to insist that millions of people remain unemployed.

I'm fine with quarantine, but my mother and sister are struggling to even get unemployment right now, and the longer the lockdown goes on the more small businesses that'll be eradicated and replaced with corporations, so yeah I'm at the point now where I'm okay with reopening (as long as everyone keeps up with the social distancing, one without the other doesn't make any sense)

I'm a small business owner. I've exhausted my savings. I would have exhausted it last month if my landlord wasn't a pretty swell guy who decided to just ignore rent for the past 2 months.

If I don't open in the next week, maybe 2 if I stretch it, I'm going to run out of food.

We've got such high unemployment right now because people like me have had to lay off all of our workers so that they could start collecting unemployment, so they won't starve too.

As soon as I can re-open, I will hire all of them back. The longer this goes on, the less likely it becomes that I'm going to be able to. If I have to close my doors permanently, which is becoming more and more likely the longer this goes on, they are all out of work.

But, yeah, I just want a haircut so I can kill your grandpa. That's for sure my thought process.
