I have not had this problem. It’s not deferment, it’s an administrative forebearance. No missed payments, nothing negative.

Edit: This is gotten a bit of attention, so I'll just add my details. I loans go through Fed Loan Servicing. My loans are currently marked as being in "Forbearance" Status. I have 0% interest, no due payments, and 0 days delinquent.

In Credit Karma, it shows the loan as being current, but in forbearance status. It is showing check marks for all payments made through February, but not a check or x for the following months. It hasn't had any negative effect on my credit score, and my score has actually gone up a bit as I've been able to pay down my credit card balance. while my loan payments are deferred.

I strongly recommend you guys visit the Student Loan sub. Idk how to link it here sorry. But they talk about what to do to fix this. The TLDR is that you can file a dispute with the credit bureaus because these six months of deferred payments is being reported by the student loan services as “successful” payments.
