My mum trained as a nurse in the late 70s/early 80s and at that time you did 6 week rotations around the different wards in the hospital. She always tells us that when she was in the paediatric rotation there was this beautiful little boy, younger than 5, half Italian, brown hair, like a Botticelli angel: brain dead because of measles complications. A vegetable. We were all vaccinated to the teeth and she always tries to help people understand how horrific the disease really is xxx

Someone give these people measles. Oh wait. Their parents cared enough to get them vaccinated. But they don't want to talk about that.
