Have you tried paving your lawn?

Hair and grass grows everywhere except where you want it to.

In the 80s a local company similar to ChemLawn went around spraying a small part of people's lawns and putting a sign on it with an estimate for how much it would cost to have the rest of the lawn sprayed. They weren't asking permission, they'd just pull up in front of the house and spray a 3 foot wide area.

The part of my parents lawn that they sprayed died almost instantly and nothing would grow there for years until we had the entire lawn dug up and re-graded with new loam.

My parents were part of a massive lawsuit by almost everybody in town that drove that company into bankruptcy and the owner and a bunch of employees ended up getting arrested and charged for trespassing and destruction of property.
