The Beatles were sass kings, especially Lennon.

Here are some more -

In the "interview," a reporter asked Lennon, "How did you find America?" Lennon replied, "Turned left at Greenland."

When The Fab Four were asked what their favorite thing was about their rock star status during a 1965 interview, they had a unanimous answer.

"You’ve got fame and fortune," said the interviewer. "If this were all to disappear overnight, and you were left with one thing you’d like to hang on to, what would that be?"

"The money," they all said at the same time.

During the same 1964 Texas interview where Starr puffed on his cigarette, Harrison made a pretty bold comment about one of his bandmate’s wives. The reporter asked Lennon what type of girls he prefers, to which Lennon responded "my wife." When the same question was posed to Harrison, he quipped, "John’s wife."

At the time, Lennon was married to Cynthia Powell.

Lennon called out an American reporter who didn’t do his homework during an interview in the early '60s. A reporter came up to Lennon and asked, “Which one are you?” Lennon's answer: "I’m Eric."

When the reporter told him to speak to "the American public, 40 million viewers," Lennon quipped, "Only looks like one man to me... Oh, it’s the cameraman."

Harrison was pretty good at keeping a straight face while cracking wise. During the "interviews" in A Hard Day’s Night, a reporter asked Harrison, "Has success changed your life?" To which Harrison succinctly replied, "Yes."

Starr may not have been as outspoken as his bandmates, but he had a really cheeky sense of humor. During a 1964 interview in Texas, the Fab Four seemed to love playing into the whole Texan aesthetic. McCartney even had a big cowboy hat on and tried his hand at a Texan accent. Then a reporter asked Starr if he had any political affiliations. Starr replied, "I don’t even smoke." He then proceeded to take a big drag of his cigarette.

On February 7, 1964, the Beatles had their first U.S. press conference. It was a madhouse, but one reporter managed to get this question in: "What do you think of the comment that you’re nothing but a bunch of British Elvis Presley impersonators?"

Starr began dancing his interpretation of Elvis’ moves, and said, "It’s not true! It’s not true!"

McCartney was apparently feeling goofy during a 1963 interview at the Twickenham film studios outside London. The interview opened up to a Q&A from the fans, and a girl asked McCartney if he preferred mods or rockers. In other words, whether he sided with the stylish kids who favored Vespas, or the harder edged rockers with their leather jackets.

McCartney looked like he was put on the spot with the question. "I dunno, I like any of ‘em," he said. Then he added, "Mockers, I like. I think they’re the best."

The dissolution of The Beatles began in 1970, though some of its members might have been thinking about leaving the group before then. During a 1965 British interview, the reporter told John that there was a rumor in The Beatles Paper that he might be leaving the group.

"Rubbish. I’m contracted. I’ve been trying to get out for years," he joked.

Lennon and Harrison were first dosed with LSD in 1965 - the drug was supplied by a dentist friend of theirs. After the experience, the two of them turned the other Beatles onto it. Acid inspired their masterpiece album Revolver. However, it also led to the dissolution of some relationships, especially for Lennon.

During an interview with an American reporter during the late '60s, McCartney and Lennon were questioned about their statements on LSD.

"It seemed to me from what I read that you endorsed [LSD] and condemned it. What’s the story?" the reporter asked.

"We were manufacturing it. Business went bonkers," Lennon cracked.
