I'm sure the fact that we've been noticing a giant bird that may or may not have been following us for the past few sessions is also completely unrelated!
Seriously though, I'm really looking forward to whatever this encounter might be, our DM has been putting us in some really cool encounters. Our last big fight was a Groundhog Day loop fighting a huge cosmic titan thing that would repeat its actions and damage from previous loops, so we were able to calculate when it would do certain things and what to avoid. Every time we died, we'd just start another loop, but our monk was eaten by the titan and didn't come back for the next loop. Once we defeated the titan, they returned without their memory and the rest of the party were the only ones who remembered their existence
