When I was 15 I attempted to make my first cup of coffee, I remember thinking you needed a coffee machine to make every day coffee, we didnt have one so I tried to filter boiling water through coffee granules in a sieve.
Figured if you do that enough times, you'd get a nice dark cup of coffee....
After 5ish minutes of mild scolding my dad walked in, immediately clocked on to what I was attempting to do and proceeded to just make a cup of coffee the normal way and pat me on the back as he walked out.

This is so sweet. Also... can someone also break it down for me? I have one I received as a gift and have been too scared to used it!

You CAN use all milk instead of water it makes an interesting cup of coffee. Not good for everyday drinking, but tasty.
Update: such nice comments. I'm joining the mademesmile sub. Thanks for making me smile everyone!

Learned a lesson in overthinking that day.
