“Trust science” is anti-scientific in that science is a method for questioning what we know (“science”). Science once said it’s impossible to operate on a beating heart. Science once said syphilis was incurable.
Maybe it should say “trust data” but even that’s not right. Data used incorrectly is wrong.
How about “use reason.” That means we can be skeptical but do so in a rigorous way. Evaluate facts and apply them correctly.
