That's hilarious! As a teacher, I've said those words... and meant them! Kids who behave well at school and maybe not as well at home means that they ARE being taught how to behave. When kids are at home, they are going to push more boundaries... that's their job. I really feel for parents right now. Especially of younger kids who really do need a lot more one on one instruction. I teach middle school and today I reminded parents that for MS and HS age group, it isn't your job to understand the content any more than you normally do. Please do help your child craft understandable and specific questions to email/ call/ text/ Google meet/zoom, etc.... it's the teacher's job to answer questions regarding content and assignment instructions. We're all learning how to do this! 😁

I'm a teacher, I treat those comments like gold. I only say them if I mean them. However, at parent teacher meetings I'm often surprised to hear that my well behaved kids aren't always that way at home.
