That little boy was Bruce Lee’s only son, Brandon Lee, who was accidentally shot and killed while filming a scene for the movie “The Crow” when he was 28 years old. Bruce Lee died at 32 years old when Brandon was 8 years old and outlived his son by only 4 years.
I'm raising my 11yo nephew, and yesterday I was explaining to him that eventually I would teach him how to budget, pay bills and handle his finances. I explained how no one taught me this and it made my life pretty hard until I finally figured it out.
I also explained how even simple things like the music I play and books I buy him are often with the sole intent of broadening his horizons and exposing him to things he wouldn't otherwise. I want him to start with the knowledge I took a lifetime to learn so he can go further than me.

The context suggests you should teach your kids directly. Much of what we learn is self taught, which can take quite some time.
