Going from an east Asian language to a European language is incredibly difficult. I can’t even imagine trying to learn Japanese, it would take years of intense dedication for the average person.

Tbf, if you use even the most basic Japanese language in Japan, the Japanese people make you feel like you've practically mastered the language.
They're very good about supporting people who try to speak their native tongue.

Always remember, everyone speaking your language 'broken-ly' is bilingual AT LEAST. That's more than most can say.
