My grandfather in the last few months of his life fell in love with my tuxedo cat. I would bring my cat to visit every other weekend and they would nap together in his chair. The last thing he built in his workshop were wooden ledges for their screened in porch so Pepper the cat could lay down and look out. He passed away in late February. I haven’t brought my cat by since he passed away because my grandmother isn’t a cat person but she refuses to take the ledges down.
Edit:
Here’s of a photo of pepper on one of the ledges: https://imgur.com/gallery/Z4KYPFR. Thanks for the suggestions to bring Pep to my grandmothers. Another issue is that about a week after my grandfather passed my state shut down and for her safety I haven’t been able to visit her. It’s been tough knowing she’s alone right now but she’s getting through it.

Get her a chair instead! I did that for my cat and he absolutely loves it. He now demands i setup his chair if it isnt already next to the window.
