I think the biggest thing missed here is the discrepancy regarding Florida.
Most British people think Florida is a great place to visit and go on holiday, but from I can make out in America there is a running joke about Florida being the arse end end of the country.
That's a pretty large gap in view points, it's up there with the Harry potter view of the UK
