People are acting like this is some huge protest movement. The protests max out at about 2,500, and some are only in the dozens. Theres well over 300 million people in the us of course theres going to be crazies who think we need to open up.
So I talked to my right-leaning dad about this. His response was that they wouldn’t want assistance anyway. They want to work. When I brought up concerns about the pandemic and what this would do to the healthcare system, he said that not everyone is protesting. Only the stupid ones. At least we found some common ground on an otherwise tense conversation.
