Open it and fix it. It's not usually that difficult and most of the slim models don't have the hard solder issues like the phat ones did. (Though, those aren't usually that hard to fix either) It's probably something simple liked blocked exhaust preventing the fan from circulating or something.
Ok so a load of people have said it can be fixed as it’s not a red ring but through some research it seems that’s the 360 elites/slim don’t have rings, just a red dot. I haven’t used it in a little while but it’s been going for a good 10 years of heavy use so I don’t blame it for giving up if it has. I won’t throw it out just yet, I’ll look into it a bit more. Thanks guys, the Fs are appreciated.
