Don't rush! Enjoy the game, there is a lot to do and you will find all of the little things Skyrim has hidden away if you travel everywhere and avoid fast travelling.
For your first time I'd also suggest avoiding glitching for your own benefit (here's to you fortify restoration loop...) so you can have a really natural play through.
Explore all of the different types of styles you can play, such as being a mage, sword/shield, two handed, or stealthy kind of play style. You might find other play styles to be more fun than others.
Hoard all of the dragon bones and scales you find! Make space in your inventory for them if you need to! This will make sense for way later.
Also hoard Daedra Hearts, and avoid using them for alchemy. They're not very good for alchemy but you can use those for something else later on too.
When you see insects flying around, you can catch them. Blue butterfly wings and luna moths are the most valuable imo.
Luna Moth wings, Nirnroots, Glow Dust, and Mora Torpalina are some of the best brewing ingredients in the game imo.
Last thing, don't go full throttle through the main questline. Take your time and see what other questlines you can start and go through, side quests too. There is a lot to uncover in the game if you really dig deep, it gets old pretty quick if you plow straight through the main quest.
