Henceforth, he shall be known as squirrel master.

Don’t be shocked when after a certain age they turn completely feral; it’s a squirrel thing according to another vet tech person I worked with in ER small animal. She had a whole litter (kit?) of squirrel babies bc she did wildlife rescue. They were all very cuddly until a certain age (I cannot remember what- sorry!) and then they acted like they had never met you and were very skittish; it’s usually when or near time to release them back to the wild iirc. I know this is a lot of hearsay but I witnessed it with my own eyes as she did it. (She brought them to our 13h tech shifts while they were SUPER tiny bc they need fed every few hours) Anyway- JIC that happens with your dads squirrel buddy don’t be worried or upset! It means he did a great job and he can go back to being a squirrel hopefully! Thank your dad for being a good steward of the earth.
