I used to joke about wait times with my fellow CSR slaves at Wally World, because a customer's perception of time warps to their level of frustration.

"I've been waiting in this line for 40 minutes!" "What?? You've been in line for three hours??" "I know! I can't believe it's been 5 days already!"

I work in a bank call center, I've spent a lot of time apologizing for long waits, for mundane things like "what is my balance?" that could be checked several other ways that don't require waiting for me.
