A lot of people are risking getting the coronavirus by going to work every day making less than $600 each week.

I work for big corporation, last week we were told that all salary employees would be getting a 10% decrease in pay and would have to alternate working from home and coming in the office. Us working in the warehouse (hourly employees) are getting a 15% increase for hazardous pay and getting back pay starting from the date when the state ordered the stay at home policy.

Edit: I’m not quite sure since I haven’t been able to speak to office employees but the 10% paycut salary employees are taking might be in the form of mandatory time off without pay and not necessarily lowering employees salary pay. If this is the case they would be able to file for unemployment in our state (CA)

This meme is true. The shop I work for slowed down and they were taking voluntary layoffs. A lot of people did not want to take it and i drive quite a distance so figured i would save money in gas. I volunteered and now i will be making about the same, if not a little more, then what i was making while working. It works out pretty good because my 8 year old is home everyday so i don't have to worry about finding a babysitter. Also I am able to help him on this home school journey.
