My friends 17 year old daughter hit a parked car shortly after starting to drive solo with her new license. She got out of the car, had no idea what to do, so she ran all the way home. My friend drove her back to the scene, where the cops were waiting. Turns out "hit a parked car" meant that her car was entirely underneath the parked car. Anyway, the cops and the person who's car was hit chose to not press charges because nobody got hurt, the kid panicked, and insurance covered it. The kid refused to drive for a good six months after that.
