Well, Easter traditions in Czech republic include boys going from house to house gently spanking the girls using willow branches AND pouring water on them. And do you know what the girls do in return? They just give them an egg (or more eggs). Every time I try to explain this to someone else, they think czech people are barbarians.

I don't live in Poland, but because my family originates from there we also do this, but obviously just in the family and without the traditions. When I was a child I found it really funny. We usually were surprised by my grandpa who visited us with a water pistol, but we enacted revange soon afterwards or even immediately if we were prepared. Nowadays I think it's kinda annoying, but it's also something that connects me to my childhood so I still like it though I was woken today by my mum throwing water at me... When my mother was young she was really annoyed that it just were the boys who did this and she had to give them eggs while being soaked in water. So my grandad gave her also a water pistol so that she could shoot back at them.
