My Mom made my Dad a mask, she found the scarf a few years ago and had it in her sewing scrap bin. I’m thankful for their sense of humour, my parents are great.
If you want to have to nose area moldable to the face like a commercial mask, get some 18 gauge solid copper wire. Strip the insulation off a piece of appropriate length and sew it into the nose area.

My mom too made cloth masks for us all family. Scarcity in our country for masks so my mom made four masks from her old thick cloth dresses.
