Still not clear on why one would think the appropriate reaction to a "dirty corona-carrying Asian" person is to get as close as possible and start screaming and hitting them.

Wouldn't it be more logical to spritz the air between you with disinfectant and then scurry away like a squid fleeing a predator?

There was a story that came out in the city I recently moved from about an Asian family that was attacked by a young man, I think he was 21, with a knife in a Sam’s Club right after the coronavirus broke out. I believe he stabbed the father and he slashed the face of a little boy, I think he was about 3 or 4. He admitted to it being a racially motivated attack and that he was attempting to kill them. Times like these bring out the sickos. Let me try to find a link to an article about it. I don’t comment much on reddit so I’m not sure how links work.

Edit: here’s the link to the story. The person accused was 19 not 21. And there were two children, ages 2 and 6.
