Hell, I gave a loan out to someone in Florida to fix up their home. We signed a contract and everything so that if she didn't pay me back by a certain day I'd put a lien on her home.
You know what I did? I looked at the crisis and I said "Money can wait, people are dying out there". Is that really so hard? If a college student can save their money for the foreseeable future or emergencies, then why can't a goddamn landlord that rakes in thousnads just by owning the land that a house or apartment sits on?

my land lord sent out an email the other day making sure everyone knew rent was still due on the first and late fees were still active.
