The good news is with consoles having substantially faster storage soon, we will start to see game design based around this. With the lowest common denominator being shifted to SATA ssd’s on PC’s, I’d imagine PC gamers will soon want to upgrade, at least once game developers start designing their games around the speed of a PCIe 4 speed ssd instead of an HDD as has been the standard for many years.
Regardless of what platform you play on, this is a good thing as games can begin being impacted by the impressive speed of these storage devices instead of being held back by the limitation of an HDD
