(CNN) A Minnesota state trooper moved a doctor to tears when he turned what should have been a speeding ticket into a heartwarming act of kindness.

Dr. Sarosh Ashraf Janjua, a cardiologist at a coronavirus quarantine unit in Duluth, was pulled over by Trooper Brian Schwartz for speeding on March 21.

But instead of a ticket, Schwartz handed Janjua five N95 masks he was supposed to use as protection -- along with a firm warning for speeding.

"I burst into tears. And though it may just have been the cold wind, I think he teared up a little as well, before wishing me well and walking away," Janjua said on Facebook

"This complete stranger, who owed me nothing and is more on the front lines than I am, shared his precious masks with me, without my even asking."

I own an automotive repair shop. We have a stash of n95 masks we use for Bondo dust and over spray. We have donated 95% of our mask inventory because nurses and doctors need them more at the moment. Prioritize and work together people. Work the problem.

In New Zealand we are in lockdown, meaning only essential workers are at work.... which doesn’t include parking officers. Free parking at the hospital until lockdown is over!

I wish everyone was like that. I paid for 24hr parking outside my hospital. I worked 2-12 hr shifts then stayed for a 3rd because so many nurses were out sick. Found 2 tickets on my windshield. Glad to see parking enforcement is keeping us safe.

Edit: So this blew up from the start to end of my last shift. Instead of doing over 100 replies I will respond here and hope all the questions are answered.

First, the 2 tickets won't break me financially. It just means the last 5 hrs was unpaid. I will dispute them and see what happens. Thank you for the overwhelming kindness shown by strangers displaying empathy and even offering to pay them. It's not needed but it is appreciated. I'm moved by the kindness of strangers.

I'm sitting on the bench in front of my locker, can't feel my feet or legs, soaked through my scrubs trying to find the energy to walk to my car while I'm reading these responses.

To answer some questions. We get a sticker for the parking garage, it's an outdoor covered lot. Like fitness centers they oversell parking because we don't all use it at once, until a crisis happens. For all the people astonished that we don't get free employee parking, bless your hearts. The lot I went to was a flat rate pay per hour/day lot. My sticker means nothing there. I paid for 24 hrs, I overstayed. The person who gave the ticket isn't the villain. They're doing a job, it's the policy I don't like and it was just a rant after a very long day.

To the people asking if this is real and how can we work those kinds of hours. Yes it's real and no we shouldn't be working these kinds of hours. It's not safe. Neither is it safe using windex on our face shields that were only designed for one time use. Neither is it safe to use the same N-95 mask for 5 days instead of one-time use. Our duty is to our patients. I'm working the ICU, a med-surg nurse or OR nurse who isn't specifically trained cannot just fill-in when we have nurses call-out or in quarantine. Our charge nurse said a couple of days ago that we have over 120 doctors and nurses in quarantine. We're running on skeletal staff and it's common to see nurses just break down emotionally in the break room. It's not safe working 36 consecutive hours but our duty is to our patients. If the people we're supposed to be giving TOA to aren't coming we can't leave our patients.

You, kind strangers have been uplifting and I want to thank you. There have only been a few less than awesome people like this.....

No need to shit on someone else’s job just because you broke the rules and are unhappy with the repercussions. After all you are just a nurse not a doctor

You are correct stranger, I'm not a doc, I'm just a nurse. I'm also pretty sure I didn't shit on anyone who is just doing their job. I've very concerned with people losing their jobs right now and wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Anyhow, be well folks and thank you for the kindness.
