This brought back awful memories of working in the electronics department at Walmart when I was 16. Picture it: 1998, 16 yr old me in a blue vest. All of the Game Boy Color boxes showed a different color on the front of the box. But you had to look at the UPC to know what the actual color was inside. I’d open the case for parents, and kids would ask for the red one. I’d flip them all over and find the red one, which showed a teal one or some shit on the box. Kids would scream, I’d explain, dumb parents would think I was an idiot, so I’d give them the red box, check them out and just let them walk away with their green fucking game boy.
I didn’t realize this anger was still buried within me.
