I remember those bags from Food4Less. I always thought it was so obvious, why would you need instructions? But then I watched other grocery store employees and some people definitely need those instructions.

Edit: ok, I guess it's not obvious. Like anything else, if you haven't really had to think about it before or deal with the consequences of a job poorly done, then you might need instructions.

Additional packing tip: if you have thin items like chocolate bars, wedge them between the glass bottles to keep them from hitting each other.

This used to be training in the US supermarkets. Also "size up your customer so you don't pack it too heavy". Then plastic came along. I miss paper bags.

I’ve never been to an American supermarket, do they really have someone packing your groceries in paper bags without handles? Is there any reason?
