I got to see a live version of LeVar Burton reads a couple years ago and it was wonderful. (During the Q&A time, one of the audience members got LeVar to shout "COOLANT LEAK" and the place went wild.)
This is incredibly awesome! When I was 7, I donated ALL of my birthday money (about $150 USD) to PBS because I thought the names of the major donors that they mentioned were the only people giving them money and I was afraid LeVar wasnt going to be able to buy new books and I wouldn't get to see new episodes of Reading Rainbow. I begged my mom until she let me call in during a telethon. I still somewhere have my canvas PBS tote bag I got.
"This is the cloud all heavy with rain, that shadowed the ground on Kapiti Plain."
That show was really meaningful to me as a child, and still is today at 40.

Yes. Yes. Neil Gaiman is awesome.
And I want to listen to LeVar Burton reading his stories.
