If you've been thinking about ink and are ready to hire, support your local tattoo artists too. Good friend of mine had this idea, and just put down a deposit on a design/future work to support his tattooist while they can't be open. My friend is the best kind of people.
I am in healthcare and therefore still working. I also am extremely immunocompromised because I have lupus and Graves’ disease and in the last 6 months have gotten my immune system suppressed as well as spent a few weeks in the ICU unable to do much which lowered my immune system even more. I work in one of our hospitals outside clinics and all of our masks got taken from us and given to the main hospital because we are so short in supplies, which means I had no way to protect myself at work. I had to pay extremely gouged prices on amazon to order myself masks so I could stay safe at work.
One of my favorite sayings ever is something like “when times get hard and the world gets scary you can always find helpers. Look towards the helpers and you will find light.” Thank you for being a helper and a light in these scary times!
