The power to set pricing lies with the healthcare industry… They can charge exorbitant prices because there is no central power... The individual insurance companies, who are in on it, could not stand up to big pharma even if they wanted to.
By modeling Europe, a centralized healthcare system can bend the pharma industry into a bidding war to lower prices from the insane levels they’ve reached...
