This image was taken during the Spring on New Zealand's south island just after sunrise. These lupines, while beautiful, are in fact an invasive species and problematic in New Zealand.

Having never shot lupine flowers before, I was having a fun time but also a difficult one due to the wind. It was challenging to get a crisp shot with the flowers remaining still. But as with most great shots, a bit of luck came in handy. For a moment, the wind stopped and a rainbow appeared. I frantically looked for a quick composition with the rainbow in frame and well...this is what I came out with.

I'm gilding this because I just snooped at your profile and, despite all your contributions of original work, you've only been gilded twice and that is a damn travesty that has to be remedied.
