America is seeming more and more like that local hero who was hot shit in highschool but is now destitute, alcoholic, and way past his prime, sitting in the bar trying to convince the others that he is still hot shit.
My mom works at a lower income elementary school and is a lunch lady. She worked a factory job for 35 plus years and was too bored in retirement. She has been a lunch lady for over ten years. She tells us all the time the school lunch is the only lunch a lot of the kids eat. She wants to retire but she feels so bad for the kids and wants to be there and support them.
