It's Miss Trunchbull, not Mrs Trunchbull. She is very insistent on being unmarried.

Shes was played by Pam Ferris in the movie, apparently they tried to keep Pam away from the children as she was too nice and they were having trouble filming making them look afraid of her in the movie, very wholesome.
