Sometimes people just need someone, anyone, to listen to not feel alone and bottled inside

Happens a lot to me.

But I dont see it as a bad thing. I take it as a compliment. As if they're saying that I'm very trustworthy, and they trust me not to tell anyone despite me not saying that I wont.

I feel like I've experienced this more than a few times when I worked in retail.

For example one father started telling me about how his 20 year old daughter's brain was eating itself and she went from an honors student to having the intelligence of a 5 year old toddler and the doctors had no idea what was causing it or what to do solve it. I stood there for a bit and said, huh that's unlucky but this tv has 3 hdmi ports to plug in all of your devices.
