Do you happen to know how he did it? I’m going to guess that he had an adjustable attachment that covered 2/3rds of the lens (or whatever portion he wanted). 3 pics on one negative with 1/3rd exposed for each one and he moved to the 3 positions.

Edit: now that I look closer, and I can see dark areas between each image of him, indicating some light bleed between each exposure.
