Jared getting all the props but what about the date who just let it all happen and still wait for the person afterward. Sure the OP was most likely her ride, but the OP didn’t mention anything about never seeing her again, or anything like that.
I think another real win here is the date, not many people would be cool with that, it takes a special person to recognize, put their own interests aside and appreciate what is going on even if it means a slight inconvenience for them.
Damn extroverts like Jared baffle my mind. As an introvert, rest assured I would hand you your wine and at most say good luck. Then I might follow you into the movie just to people watch a sad lonely patron get wine drunk alone out of morbid curiosity for a few minutes.
Also, props to your date for having a solid sense of humor.
