I’d feel that it would be a better graph if we had context of how the coronavirus is comparable to other virus outbreaks, and also some viruses we already have experience with (or think we do). it couldn’t then be a pure count, but would have to be a ratio of total cases.

A graph with the flu, other sars virii, and the bird flu would be an interesting graph.

Another spin on it would be an animated timeline of infections compared to some other well documented timelines of known sars infections. If they match up so far, it could even be a good predictor.

Single bar graph with too much white space on each side and really only presenting 3 numbers on obviously different magnitudes... Can't say this is a good data plot in terms of technique or aesthetics, would prob be more efficient just presented in a 2*3 table with labels on left column and values on right column
