u/govschwarzenegger meant a lot to me growing up. I don't know if it's true, but I was told he had a hard time starting in movies because he had such a thick Austrian accent, but he was persistent enough in trying that he still got casted and what was once seen as a weakness was now a strength.
I was different and weird, I had a scar on my face. I learned to lean into who I was, being different is only a weakness if you let it be, be persistent. I'm not conan, I'm not the terminator, but I still know who i am and won't let my differences be a weakness.
I'm glad he's been active and using social media to continue to make a positive influence decades later the same way his movies helped me growing up.
This is legit one of my favorites. I was in Killing Gunther with Arnold. We worked together extremely briefly. It was exciting for me, likely forgettable for him.
At the premiere, I was on the red carpet speaking w Joe Manganiello, who I've worked with before, and Arnold walks up out of nowhere, and paparazzi are stoked, and he comes over to me and Joe and goes "Hey! Let's get a picture the 3 of us!" And I'm like WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY LIFE RIGHT NOW?? And the whole time they're taking pix, Arnold is like "I love dis guy, dis guy is de best." I'm like wtf we've had like 1 conversation but hey i WILL TAKE IT. But then he's like "Yeah, I love standing next to heem because he makes me look huge." LOL freakin Arnold. Clowned me but I got an absolutely epic pic out of it. What a legend.
