Ig it depends on the doctor, my doctor is actually really flexible in this regard

This happens at my dentist all the time, I’m an early bird so I always get the 8am appt. I understand being a few minutes late but when my hygienist walks in 45 minutes late with a Starbucks, I’m like really? I waited for this.

I've had to cancel twice in the two years I've been seeing my doctor and I get charged 70 no show fee each time. My doctor has missed several appointments before and it has impacted my work but the doctor doesn't really seem to care-- so I really feel this post.

Edit: bc ppl are pming me. I have special needs ( complications with a previous surgery and bad genetics) and my doctor is a specialist and I live in a rural area so I don't have a choice in the doctor I am seeing right now. Once I'm better I'll be able to move and seek out better treatment.

Edit: Just to clear something's up for anyone who is interested. I didn't just not show up bc I was lazy. I became very ill suddenly and could not drive so I had to call and let them know ( twice) that I couldn't show. I totally agree that no show fees should be enforced. But I think that if the doctor is going to disrupt my life and not show up when it takes me an hour to drive to him ( with no call or anything ahead of time, one time the reseptionist said his daughter flew in last minute so he cleared his schedule and the other time was bc he had to get his vehicle detailed- which are not valid reasons imo ) that I should get a pass for at least one time I can't make it.
