I drew a picture of me with hearts in a heart shape and I gave it to the girl I liked in Kindergarten. Her "boyfriend" ran down the row of desks, slid on his knees and slapped my picture down in front of me and I'll be damned if I don't relive that EXACT moment in time every single solitary time I see a girl I remotely even want to talk to. I've been to therapy and everything. Still, it haunts me. So silly but so deeply entrenched.
