Vibrainium is immune to shock, but not from heat. Hence why Stark Sr. was able to forge it. Given enough heat, vibranium would melt. Even uru metal, (thors hammer, Stormbreaker, Thanos copter blade) can and will melt at appropriate temperatures. Though, they melt at like, star level temperatures, and i'm not sure if a lightsaber is that hot.
