Back in the 80's I was big into detecting. I mostly concentrating on water searching. 300+ gold rings later makes it a good idea. I used to try and return what I could but that ended when one person had the police waiting for me when I met them to return it. I was accused of stealing it. I had brought the detector to show them what found it for them. The Police realized what was really happening and thanked me for trying to return it. That was the last time I was nice.

I live in Berlin and I’m legit terrified of metal detecting here. They find 500lb bombs from ww2 in the city center at least twice a year.
