When you unexpectedly get your period or have your tampon leak, because you're young and still learning how the whole thing works and your teacher won't let you go to the bathroom so you just have to sit there and feel it soaking your underwear and then through your jeans. Then you're mortified and have to wrap a sweater around your waist and walk around like that all day, because they don't deem it an acceptable excuse to go home. Fuck all that noise.
I once started my period in my 7th grade history class.
I just remember sitting there and I felt that feeling every girl knows that feeling when you hope to god that's not your period - but suprise it is.
I leaked onto the bright yellow chair and I raised my hand, asked the teacher to go to the bathroom.
She looked dead in the eyes and said " No because you need to use the restroom on your breaks/lunches".
I then said it was an emergency - I needed to go..
She looked at me and said if I interrupted her class again.. I would get detention.
I sat there until class was over, I cried the whole time - I slowly got up and told her I was on my period and I bleed through the seat. She looked at me with disgust, and still gave me a detention for interrupting her class.

My niece is 10 and her sub told her she didn't "throw up enough" in the class trashcan to warrant a trip to the nurse.
Funny enough, now their school is closed for a week because too many kids are out sick.
