My third grade teacher refused to let me go to the bathroom. By the time she finally let me, it was too late and I pissed myself as soon as I got in the stall. My mom was fucking livid when she had to bring me a change of clothes. She told me next time, just walk out and go. If I got in trouble, she'd take it up with the principal herself.
When you unexpectedly get your period or have your tampon leak, because you're young and still learning how the whole thing works and your teacher won't let you go to the bathroom so you just have to sit there and feel it soaking your underwear and then through your jeans. Then you're mortified and have to wrap a sweater around your waist and walk around like that all day, because they don't deem it an acceptable excuse to go home. Fuck all that noise.

My niece is 10 and her sub told her she didn't "throw up enough" in the class trashcan to warrant a trip to the nurse.
Funny enough, now their school is closed for a week because too many kids are out sick.
