I was once going to a place I was gonna do an open mic. It was the 9th of the month, a woman stopped me and asked me to donate some money to cancer patients, I looked her into the eye and told her I have 80 rupees and I will get money on the 15th, so that means I have 10 rupees per day to buy 3 meals. She looked at me like she has done a crime and I walked away.
For reference, 1 American Dollar is roughly 70 rupees.
Fortunately I got paid 2 days later by someone I was not expecting money from. But damn that girls face when I told her how broke I was.
